Here are a few of the projects that I have been working on:
Right now through my Entrepreneurial Empowerment Coaching, I am incubating the following projects in partnership with my clients:
– A new way to offer mind-body classes
– Two self-care and spiritual care private practice launches
– A cookbook/memoir done in conjunction with my graphic designer.
I was exceedingly proud to serve as an ongoing consultant to Interfaith Philadelphia on a number of projects. Most recently I advised senior staff on the development of their Year of Civil Conversations initiative with Krista Tippett and Passport to Understanding. I began my work with them as Project Manager of the Dare to Understand Public Art Initiative. This association with Mural Arts Philadephia and WHYY was gratifying and I am grateful to be moving their mission forward.
My work with Joey Weisenberg of Hadar, helped conceive his Rising Song Institute. Joey and this initiative is a change-maker in contemporary Jewish practice.
Directing the Heart is Rabbi Yael Levy’s new book available on Amazon. I worked as Project Manager with talented graphic designer, Amy Pollack, to bring this book into fruition.
Or Zarua -Collaborative Community launch. I am very happy that I could move Rabbi Shelly Barnathan’s dreams into reality. Her newly formed spiritual community received 2 consecutive grants of seed money and her High Holiday services were extremely well attended, just months after forming.
I am very excited to show you Juliet Spitzer’s website. She is a gifted musician, spiritual director and educator.
It was such a pleasure working with the women of the Southwest Belmont Community Association, helping them move into the digital age! I created a Constant Contact platform and series of email blasts for their annual scholarship event. I felt honored to do this work for them.
I always enjoy working with Rabbi Nancy Fuchs Kreimer, at the Reconstructing Judaism. This time I was a sounding board and strategist as she formulated an innovative multifaith retreat. I am thrilled that she asked me to keep her on track and keep her communication clear. This partnership allowed her to move forward with focus and ease.
I continue to be proud of the work I did with Rabbi Erin Hirsh, former Acting President of Gratz College. In addition to branding new programs, included cash flow analysis, communications planning and more.
A few years ago, I was asked by The Philly Friendship Circle to manage their 8th Annual Philly Friendship Walk. It was a great day!
I also worked with Wol Performing Arts Center’s Butterfly Project and helped them get to Prague and perform in Terezin Concentration Camp. I partnered with a strong design team to create Wolf PAC’s new logo and develop and launch a fabulous website.
Mishkan Shalom is a forward thinking, progressive, Reconstructionist Synagogue in Philadelphia. I was proud to work with Rabbi Shawn Zevit and everyone there in all aspects of communication, membership and development.
The non-profit Hiway Theatre movie theatre in Jenkintown, PA had to raise $100,000 to fund a digital projector or they would have shut their doors.
Beth Sholom Congregation in Elkins Park, PA raised over $7 million and as their Campaign Manager, I was responsible for the on-the-ground coordination of their campaign. Among other things, the funds raised were used to provide accessibility to their landmark Frank Lloyd Wright sanctuary building.
I am thrilled that Temple Beth Sholom in Cherry Hill, NJ asked Amy Pollack, of TwistNShout to design their capital campaign materials and I was especially excited that she asked me to do the writing. Their team is smart and I wish them much success.
Event Management + Production of Map:
DCVA 25th Anniversary Celebration– this small environmental group wanted help managing their anniversary luncheon and the creation of a large map detailing the watershed and its historic resources. I had so much fun guiding their volunteers toward a highly successful event. The map project was challenging and rewarding as I coordinated the work betwen the GIS map-maker, my graphic designer, Amy Pollack of TwistNShout, the county historians and more. My work here included calendarizing event, event management, copywriting, art direction and hand-holding.
Tightening Emerging Non-Profit Organization:
InterFaithways: Interfaith Family Support Network – this newly emerged non-profit is moving from a “mom and pop” organization to the big time. I am working with them to tighten the organization, create infrastructure and accountability; board development; communications and development planning and more. We just completed a city-wide event with more than 50 synagogues working on interfaith issues over one weekend and in these tough economic times, we received a $75,000 grant from Philadelphia’s Jewish Federation. My work with them is across the board. Literally + figuratively!
Copywriting + Art Direction:
Consulting Re: Time + Project Management:
Susquehanna University Communications Department
I was brought in to workshop and teach MS Project to the Comm staff in this university. MS Project is a robust, intimidating program but highly useful. One of the skills transferred from my Life Coaching Practice is time management and not getting trapped with too little of it.
Fundraising Event Management:
In support of Theatre Ariel’s mulit-generational and multi-media program, Let My People Go! I helped create and manage a fund-raising salon; art directed +wrote copy for invitations and program booklet and more.
